  1. I was going to fish this morning. Well,Mother nature had other plans, we were hit with snow and then slammed with rain and warm temperatures. All of our rivers are at or above flood stage!! So it will be a morning at the vise, playing with the ideas that seem to come to me more while i am on the river, then while I am on the vise. This is a varation of Art Lingren's successfull pattern, the Indispensable. i have always liked the black and blue combination. Frank
  2. Ray, That is a nice looking fly! i really like the idea of coloring the plastic sleeve. Really gives it a hot butt look. Also have to agree with Mark the artic fox is a great material to work with. Frank

  4. While searching for a couple of patterns to tie for salmon in the salt and in esturies, I have come across numerous patterns which call for a "rolled wing". The material used is mallard flank or a simialiar material. I was wondering if anyone out there can describe the process of the rolled wing. Thx. Frank
