Gary Madore 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2006 Well, here is my entry for this swap, a size 10 "Doc Spratley" which is a very successful lake pattern out west. My ties have a black dubbed body, silver tinsel ribbing, grizzly-hackle tail and beard, pheasant-tail wing, and peacock-herl head, all held together with black 8/0 nylon and spit. Er, I mean "head cement." Cheers! Gary
Gary Madore 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2006 And here is Gary "Fry Flier's" submission, a #12 Royal Renegade. First, this has to be the most unique fly delivery in the history of swapping: A hollwed out block of styrofoam became an "igloo" for this "frozen north" swap: And there was a handful of these gorgeous ties inside: Heartfelt thanks to my fishin' buddy Gary for also including some samples from various swaps and fundraisers he's currently involved with: You guys have some AWESOME ties coming your way (the shrimp is wicked!) Cheers! Gary

Gary Madore 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2006 :headbang: sweet tie! Indeed. I thought that my #10 Doc Spratleys were rather small and dainty until the flies from y'all began to arrive. Now mine looks like I tied it on a grappling hook with rope and steel cable in comparison Cheers! Gary
