steelie 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 Good Day, Well done. Nice proportions. You know, I wonder if Dick Pobst is still offering his Grey Drake bounty? If I remember it primarily had to do with Grey Drakes on the Pere Marquette river of Michigan. The challenge was to find a population of nymphs. And then, observe their behaviour. I guess because there were misconceptions over whether or not the insect actually inhabited those waters. In or neck neck of the woods here in West Michigan, there are good populations of Siphloplecton basale (Pseudo-Gray Drake) in several rivers including the Muskegeon. I have had several wonderful nights fishing the spinners. Also, their emerging behavior here is to crawl to shore and hatch on land. Spinners are the most significant part of the hatch.
