Salmon & Steelhead, your favorite pattern swap !!

Recommended Posts

This swap is for the first 10 people with I'm in. This swap is open to any pattern that will generate a strike by a salmon or steelhead during spawning. I fish a river in Western New York called salmon river in the city of Pulaski. The best fly that I have used to generate a strike was a egg pattern. With that in mind, any pattern will do. All FTF rules apply.

I'm in. :headbang: If you'll have me. :D

Just in time for the run.

Don't know what I'll ty yet, :dunno: I also like to use egg patterns or ESL.

I've been wanting to learn how to ty tubes.

Let me see if I can do it and I'll get back with a pattern.

Worst comes to worst, I'll ty some eggs. :dunno:

Juice :P

You can count me in. I love to tie steelhead flies even though I am in New Mexico and a long way from any steelhead.

I'm torn between a Purple Peril, an Umpqua Special or a Green Butt Skunk, so if anyone has any ideas of one over the others, let me know.

Thanks for hosting the swap,

Bob

I'm in on this one. Let's hope that everybody gets theirs in on time. The Kokanee here are getting geared up the end of September and early October for their run.

I'll be tying a Super Spawn Sak

Stony, Are you talking about the fall run on the Dream Stream (aka Lame Drain), or elsewhere.

I visited that area this spring. :headbang:

Beautiful area, although I'd rather hang out down in Eleven Mile.

Nope, the run from Blue Mesa Reservoir up to the Roaring Judy Hatchery near Almont. It's a pretty fun if you can get through all them dadgum snaggers.
