Well I picked up the pie'ce de r'esistance for the rod building/tying room tonight. The 2nd tying desk was all that was missing so I wanted to get another desk so I could have one dedicated to rod building and one dedicated to fly tying.

 

 

I've been watching Craigslist for the past 2 weeks and came across this within 5 mins of the guy listing it and bought it sight unseen. Picked it up today.

 

if you guys promnise not to call me dirty names I'll tell ya how much I paid for it .........................I paid $35 for it :whistle:

I couldnt believe it ethier man. I was sure it had to be a typo when I saw the pic but when I went to pick it up tonight it was only $35

 

The guy that owned it lived in a HUGE house in one of the more rich parts of town and it seemed like he just wanted to clear out the desk to make room for other things in the room where he had it. I dont think money was an issue for this guy in the least, thats probably why he didnt care what he sold it for. I really lucked out on finding this thing for this price thats for sure :headbang:

Well the "Comfortication" ....of the Man room continues. At the rod building bench I have a TV DVD player for while I'm working on rods for fish porn viewing enjoyment, but now that the tying bench is at the oppisite end of the room than the Rod bench, I'd have to actually turn my head to see the TV..and we can't have that :wasnt me:

 

So a little more Craigslist shopping today and AlG and I ran over to some guys house this afternoon and I snagged a 2nd 20" TV complete with heavy duty swivel wall mount for a mere $50. Plus with a short RCA jack cord I have it plugged into my portable DVD player. Now I just may never have to leave the rod shop if this keeps up!
