uffepuffe 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2008 I really like the CDC loops you can use for emergers and such, but I haven't really found a good way to use it for wings on caddis because the loop becomes to round and open. Yesterday while playing around with a new material for the abdomen I started experimenting with the loop again. I found that if I took a dubbing needle and heated it slightly and bended the CDC around this I got a much more narrow loop, looking like a tear drop almost! The really cool stuff with the fly (if I may say so myself) is when you see how it sits on the surface and the way the abdomen sits under the surface, like a egg laying caddis! uffepuffe 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2008 No it's a strech material called "Dream stretch" which I have been asked to evaluate, it's rather nice, thin and super stretchy, I think it will be out for sale early next year. Ulf
Lapland flyfisher 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2008 Was it simple to tie? Anyway the flie looks very nice, i believe it will work great for some whitefish.
uffepuffe 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2008 Thanks Lapland... yeah I guess it was rather simple, depends on what you compare it with. Whitefish you say... well, I probably won't ever fish any whitefish with it, I am more hoping that the trout and grayling likes it.

Lapland flyfisher 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2008 Thanks Lapland... yeah I guess it was rather simple, depends on what you compare it with. Whitefish you say... well, I probably won't ever fish any whitefish with it, I am more hoping that the trout and grayling likes it. Yeah, sure they do. But what I did mean was that the whitefish is mostly of the time very fastidious. Do you understand? No problem! (Whitefish tänkte jag att du syftade på vilken vitfisk som helst ju )
