Guest Big E Report post Posted October 31, 2010 My first steelhead egg. Think DHise would approve? Never knew my scissors were so dull until I went to cut this.
Taylor B. Hess 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2010 That looks great! Its a good combo, now apply different color schemes like chartreuse and purple, or pink and purple, or red and orange. (The list goes on and on and on). Some may call it a happy meal, some may call it bacon and eggs... No matter what, it'll have the steelies wagging their tails for a treat like that! Tight Lines! oatka 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2010 I "borrowed" my moms good sewing scissors over 10 ears ago to cut eggs. A good big sharp pair is the best way. I should tie some of those funky flies.
Chris norris 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2010 Could you tie this flie with something like a red pipe cleaner for example?
Guest Big E Report post Posted October 31, 2010 Could you tie this flie with something like a red pipe cleaner for example? No, proportions would be off, pipe cleaner is way too big. Its Ultra micro chenille.
Chris norris 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2010 What about if you stripped the red insulation off of say 18 gauge thermostat wire so it still flutters in the water
