Guest Report post Posted December 20, 2011 Thinking about what pattern we can do for the January Fly Challenge. Like the wooly bugger and clouser challenges they need to be patterns, imitations, materials that can have limitless variations. It can be a specific fly pattern like a clouser or I'm thinking it can a challenge focusing on a specific imiations(crayfish, dragonfly nymph, etc) or focusing on a specific material(cdc). Any thoughts or suggestions?

bluegill576 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2011 I think it would be cool to do one for the royal wolff. There are so many ways it could be changed.

Aqueous1025 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2011 I would like to see a bunch of different leeches and or eel patterns tied. I only have the couple of patterns in my books to look at for the leech and eel patterns.
deeky 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2011 I like the Elk Hair Caddis. I think there are a bunch of variations out there, but a pattern that most everyone can take a crack at. Hairwings would be fun too. Deeky

CrookedHook 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2011 I second the wet fly. I think there are so many variations and different materials one can use. The clouser and wooly bugger challenge had many nice patterns and I think we would see many wet flys also. Thanks
