strikeflyfishingclub 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2012 Hi First of all what a great forum and I have been lurking in the background for a while but now I would love your advice My 8 year old son has ask me to tie him some flies and frame them for his bedroom at his mums house. I would like to tie some flies to complete a life cycle but after much searching I have no idea what patterns I should tie. rockworm 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2012 I have no photos for you but I would suggest you select a species common to your son's location then tye one of the following series: Caddis small larva, med larva, pupa, adult, egg-laying female, spent adult Mayfly small nymph, med nymph, emerger, dun, spinner, spent spinner Choose a common caddisfly or mayfly and we will help you with patterns.
