Has anybody tried these yet? looks pretty neat. If you have used these tell me what you think. Maybe show off a fly you created.

I haven't used them. However, I bent a paperclip once....and never used that either. It's a great looking way to make extended bodies.

A friend brought some J:Sons stuff on a camping/tying/fishing trip.

I tied one sorry fly using his toys(see above).

The trout hit the fly often, but I never hooked up, so I switch to the tried and true Sparkle Dun. I think a different hook than what I used would have made the fly work for me. I forgot about that fly. I might have to get some of those pins.

i dont tie extended bodied flies to justify the cost.

Absolutely ! The fly in my avatar is on a size 26 hook and the body was tied on a needle.

I own these products and use them often. I like them much better than a needle because you get a nice natural curve with these.
