Guest Report post Posted January 12, 2005 Thanks guys. I'm goin' to a Churrascaria Friday night. For those of you less experienced... A Churrascaria is a Brazilian Steak house. It's all you can eat, you can't order entrees. They have a little thingie on the table that looks like a wooden hourglass, red on one end, green on the other. There are men walking around with freshly prepared cuts of varous meats and poultry on skewers. When you turn your indicator to Green, they stop by your table and begin slicing of meat until you tell them you've had enough. Then the next guy comes around with a different meat and does the same thing. This continues until you turn the indicator over to Red. You eat, then turn it over and sample more! The restaurant is family owned, and they are Brazilian. They claim to import all of the meats from Brazil to keep the authenticity of the experience. My first time there I got to have every type of steak I'd ever heard of, Buffalo, suckling pig, Turkey wrapped with Bacon. MMmmmmmmmmm.... On the appetizer bar there were, among other things, Langostinos, Quail eggs, Oysters.... man I'm getting hungry! All this for $20, and this Friday, I don't even have to pay that!
