Hello everyone I'm your Uncle Shorty. I split my time between Texas & Pennsylvania. In TX I fish mostly for bream. In PA i fish for trout, panfish & crappie. I enjoy tying, although I'm a novice at both tying & fly casting. I look forward to learning a lot and telling some fish stories...

I grew up in TX... until I escaped :-) Uncshort... you've got white crappie in TX too. Welcome to our happy mob. What did you mean "on a break from the tying bench"?

I was literally taking a break from practicing my tying. As I said I'm a novice so my production and quality need a lot of improvement.

 

After 10 minutes and some "liquid refreshment" I went back at it and completed a few bead head brassies and a couple Mickey Finns.

 

TX can be tough, especially june through September. I have a buddy who calls it "sweating & wine drinking weather". I've seen him drink a lot of wine, but I'm not sure I ever saw him sweat...
