troutguy 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2015 Fish for Life Can you fish at night were you live? Brown Trout are nocturnal and late summer is the best time. Pick an area or pool you are familar with and go out fishing 9 or 10 at night or later and fish until 3 or 4 in the morning. I fish mostly in North Carolina and it is not legal in most streams to fish after dark for trout. My favorite fly are size #2 take offs on a Muddler Minnow. Capt Bob LeMay 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2015 Muddlers catch fish everywhere (we use them for baby tarpon up to around 20lbs).... Here's a pic of a big muddler we use in weedy conditions (mostly for redfish - but I'll bet a big old cannibal trout might take it going away)...... This is an inverted Muddler on a 2/0 hook.... it's the one on the bottom, for size comparison the maribou muddler on top is on a #2 hook.... Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
