Help me pick a sinking line please....

IMO. Sink tips hinge -- bend downward at the juncture of the floating and sinking sections and this makes quick strike detection a misery.

 

But they are not a bad choice for fishing specific depths of flow flow in close-in runs on big moving water,

i use a short flourocarbon leader to help keep the fly down on my 6wt sink tip on freshwater lakes and ponds rich mc
