Although labeled a caddis, it's pretty much a hackled, legless Madame X; lots of potential for modifications here. hook -Dai Riki 300 #10 thread - UTC 140 burnt orange tail - deer hair bleached abdomen - tying thread head/wing - deer hair bleached hackle - grizzly mash barb, start thread at 2/3 mark, wrap to bend clean, stack, measure (gap width past bend) a small clump of deer hair; tie in wrap butts back to 2/3 mark clean, stack, measure (hook length +tail) a larger clump of deer hair; trim to length, tie in at eye with tips facing forward, cover butts with thread pull deer hair back/tie down tie in hackle wrap hackle, trim, whip, SHHAN Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
