Light Cahill- Tailing Material

Recommended Posts

The recipe for the Light Cahill directs me to use the feathers from the hackle (Rooster Cape) to construct the tail. However, I am unable to transfer the feathers from the stem to the bend of the hook, since the small barbules stick to my fingers or fall off. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for your help. There are lots of videos on Youtube that will show you how better than I can explain.

It sounds like your letting go before the tail is secured. Don't let go until you have several tight wraps over it.
