Guest Report post Posted December 26, 2018 My buds said ain't no fly.... Anyway they sure work well. First ones added lead eyes afraid they'd twist but fast drop and not good casting so left them off and they work fine. Slow fall and blades turn nicely on sweeps rather than jerks. The gold ones oughta get redfish smacks and bucketmouth in dingy water. Dubbed flash, stuff for hackles ahead of estaz. Attached spinner swivels with few strands spider wire braid. 2/0 trottvline hooks, big eyes. The pic is sideways
Philly 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2018 Nice denduke. I'll have to give that style a try. I've done a few with props, a couple road runner style with the blades, or using a clevis. I'll have to order some small bearing swivels to make them work.
Piker20 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2018 They would fish well with a light spinning outfit. I have some small blades so will look at a couple of these. Need them to come in around 3g to cast out on my rod.
Guest Report post Posted December 27, 2018 Robbed my swivels/blades off cheap spinnerbaits that I have picked up to rob skirt material. Foraging mat'l one day at a time.... cast them on a 5wt...heavier rig would be better. Got the idea from bud who added spinners to RedFishCrack flies. He said they just flash, rattle, click.... mine spin.
DarrellP 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2019 What size blades are those? I tried some that were too big, with miserable results and dang near took my ear off! User error, plus poor design on my part.
