Mike West 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2018 Has anyone tried his Big Game series? I worked out a trade with him and picked up the 7 10 8wt blank. Its just sitting there until I have the funds and the time build it. I plan on using single foot ceramics and it being my go to LM bass rod when bigger fish are possible. I still have a 8 8 6wt based on the Seele fast glass taper they offered but in a 2 piece and black glass I need to build out also.
Bryon Anderson 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2018 I had not previously heard of them, so I Googled. Found them at Angler's Workshop. Very interesting stuff. 7'10" would be bass tournament legal, if you wanted to go that route. More interesting still (to me), is the fact that the Big Game fly blanks go all the way up to 14 wt., but all are the same 7'10" length. A 7'10" 14 wt. would be a serious thunderstick of a rod. I'd love to see some pictures of the build once you get it done.
Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2018 That's Mike McFarland, he's been in the business for quite some time and his glass blanks are pretty well respected in the insdustry. I've meet him before and seen his stuff in person. Good quality blanks you'll be happy with it I'm sure.
