Custom 8ft 5wt

Just off the bench this morning is this latest custom rod. It's an 8ft 5wt 2pc with hand turned wood insert, nickle silver bul5 fine thread hardware, custom grip turned out of all burl cork rings with some matching trim red accents in it, sf guides and classic twist wraps with metallic gold double turn trim bands round it out.

Nice. What kind of wood? Looks like a fine grain.

I can't remember what type of wood that is John. I've had a few turned like that for a while and liked the way that color complimented the blank/wraps so chose that one for it.
