I use a white foam bodied dun or spinner. Using fur dubbing dosent seem to stay white. I also tie the tails in half a shank longer. Hope this helps. White wulffs in 10 and 12 work fine.

I can tie most trout drys in 3 minutes Spinners in under 2 basic nymphs under 2 everything else can usually be tied in under 4 minutes without rushing.

hey Mne are ready to go. Where are they going? How many should Isend? thanks

I like the furled leaders for my dries, but I tie my own for streamers. I hate to use them in weeds because they always get scum on them in nasty water.

Im suprised that I rarely see it in shops or mail order catalogs. It seems to be great. i can focus more on imitation and I don't have to worry about floatation as much. The scent goes away after awile so im not worried at all. thanks for the advice everyone

Im going to guide also. Im going to wait untill I am at least 18. I am not just starting my own guiding business so I will have lots of help along with a established list of clients. I am going along on trips to learn right now. I would say that it is a good idea to wait untill you are older. Im sure that there are many clients out there that are not going to like taking advice from a someone young enough to be his or her son. Lots of good advive given by everyone. good luck with guiding

i have found scotch guard to work great, but I haven't fished it yet. Does the scent bother the fish?

Just checked the with the dnr. It would be okay for me to target bass or pike if i owned the entire shore line, but there are other houses on the lake so the rules must be followed.
