  1. You could try Johns fly materials he is in London Ont. and he seems to get most of the stuff that I need and doesn't take long to get it to you.He is really good to deal with.
  2. I live in Ontario,Canada and this year I was introduced to a fly called a sex dungeon and I have had great luck with big rainbow trout. It is an articulating fly with lots of motion and covers different levels in the water.
  3. I have several different brands of vise's. It took me a long time to find one that I am really comfortable and able to tie well with.If your vise that you created is working for you I don't think you should be in to big of a hurry to get rid of it.Like the saying goes "if it ain't broke .....

  5. Hello, I have not used water silk but I have used red fox tail and have had really good success.
  6. Good Day, He is quite resonable. My last order was for a series/set of three baitfish cutters. Including shipping it was around $50. One thing to think about... the more detail you provide him, the easier his job will be. Such as a "to scale" drawing with full measurements. Steelie Thanks, saw on a website some cut out wing buds that looked about the right size. I ordered some and will send him the cut out for size. That should give him enough scale and measurements.
  7. Thanks, I will give him a call first thing in the morning.
  8. Thanks for the info. I am looking at a size 12. Any idea how much a custom cutter would run? I looked at some of the bug parts and they do look good. I think I am going to try some on another project but I would still like a wing bud cutter.
  9. Does anyone know where to get a stonefly wing bud cutter. I have seen lot's of the stonefly wing cutters and burners but I have only seen the wing bud burner. I would really like a cutter. Any suggestions?
  10. You might try a deer hair popper or a neon coloured bunny leech.
  11. A tragopan feather has an eye.

    javelina

I have tried taxidermists all over the province of ontario and nobody has any.I was wondering if anybody in the lower states might find a road kill or know someone who doesn't want a hide.

    javelina

Does anyone know where I could get a javelina hide or a good sized chunk of hide? I use them for antennae, legs ad a variety of other uses. This works a lot better for me than moose or anything similar.
