  1. Flies are in the mail. The Nelson's Caddis was created by Nelson Ishiyama and was first featured in Fly Fisherman in the 60"s. If anyone is interested I would be glad to send photo copies of the original article.
  2. Rich, your flies and fly box arrived today. Quite a nice collection, Thank You
  3. First set of flies arrived today from Crackleback, very nice selection, thank you.
  4. Thanks so much Rich, you are the person who made me aware of the organization. My wife and I THANK YOU! Looking forward to seeing those flies.
  5. Thanks Mike, I look forwad to seeing the flies.
  6. Wow, what a nice assortment. PM sent. It's OK that you went a "little" overboard.
  7. :jumpy: Apparently I missed the concept and sent something way too tame for this swap
  8. The flies look great, thanks for contributing. Most of the swapers use Altiods tins in a padded envelope. Any small container will do.
  9. Toe tags are not necessary as I won't be sorting them. Your six will go to one participant, if you want her to know who tied the flies you may include your name or your screen name and I'll add it to the fly box.
  10. Yes you can post pictures here. I am sure they will be fine Bryan. I am sending PM with my mailing address. Thanks for doing this, Bob
  11. Sure, or you could do three and three. Your six will go to one participant so maybe one dry stuck in there for her to be able to see on the surface. Your choice.
  12. Thank you all for doing this! Just to be clear, each of you tie just six (6) different flies, not six of the same fly. Each of the participants in a retreat will get a box of 6 flies tied by one of you. Here are the suggestions from Casting for Recovery of size and type: For fishing – Bead-head Nymphs (sizes 10, 12); Attractor Dry Flies (sizes 8-12); Terrestrials (sizes 10, 12); Wooly Buggers (lightly weighted, sizes 6, 8); Parachute Adams (sizes 10,12) PM me when they are ready and I will send the mailing address. Lets make the due date October 22.
  13. Thanks, you're in, but what we need are 6 different flys from each tyer.
  14. just six (6) flies, your choice. No due date yet, maybe the middle of October, just waiting to see if I get 14 tiers. here is the list from their web site: For fishing – Bead-head Nymphs (sizes 10, 12); Attractor Dry Flies (sizes 8-12); Terrestrials (sizes 10, 12); Wooly Buggers (lightly weighted, sizes 6, 8); Parachute Adams (sizes 10,12)
  15. Fellow Fly Tiers, I am looking for 14 tiers who would like to contribute to Casting for Recovery. Casting for Recovery is a program for women recovering from Breast Cancer. They host retreats around the country, at no cost to the participants. Fourteen women learn how to fly fish over a weekend. In addition, they get support for their recovery from this disease. They are looking for donations of flies. An individual fly box with six basic attractor patterns is one of the items on their donation list. If I could get 14 tiers to tie six different attractor pattern flies, I would take care of providing the fly boxes and the postage to Casting for Recovery. If you are not familiar with this organization here is a link to their web site: http://www.castingforrecovery.org/ If you are interested please PM me. I have to go to Lake Tahoe tomorrow, so will get them in the mail Saturday morning. Thanks to everyone for being in the swap and thanks for all the extras too. Bob
  19. I agree, maybe she is on a fishing trip. She is a reliable swaper, give her a couple of days and maybe PM her again.
  20. Apparently the Postal Service (and I use the term loosly) is sending Cencalfly's package via Spokane as well. Hopefully it is in todays mail. I could have driven down there and picked them up faster than this.
  21. Damn these senior moments, I don't know what I was thinking
