Attended Stanford University from 1962-1973 on an academic scholarship. Graduated with distinction and honors (phi beta kappa in chemistry) Stanford '66; and Stanford MD degree '71, plus 2 years of surgical internship and residency training at Stanford University Medical Center. Then switched to radiology residency at the University of Utah Medical Center; Appointed Chief Resident in 75/76. Practiced radiology in Wisconsin for 23 years. Retired in 1999.
Learned to fly fish in 1979 from my best friend, Gary Borger. Our families are very close and this has allowed me to learn from one of the best teachers in fishing.
