  1. Due date is suppose to be when they arrive in my possession but I am not a stickler on dates. Life is a pain in rear at times and folks get busy and side tracked so a few days afterwards ain't going to kill anyone in my opinion. Jump on it and give it a try FlatsRoamer!!!
  2. Count me in! I think some sort of weighted fancy clouser type fly ought to fit the bill for this swap...Don't y'all?
  3. Okay everyone I hosted this swap last year and it seemed like everyone enjoyed it. There were some great flies that came from it as well. The only requirement for this swap is the fly has to FLOAT!!! It can be any type of material, any size hook, any style, or any color for that matter. As long as it floats you are good to go for this swap. All swap rules apply which means send your flies with return postage, place your name or handle on your container that you have shipped your flies in please, and toe tags on the flies. I was thinking about a due date of August 19 (Friday) which give folks some time to churn some flies out. Looking for 12 tiers on this swap. Have a SAFE and Happy 4th of July. 5. Thank you! Sorry for cutting it close...Just have had an awfully lot on my plate with the passing of my father in law and I am now just getting back to the routine so to speak.
  6. Hello All, Can someone please PM the mailing address for this swap? Sorry but I have been out of pocket for quite awhile dealing with the wife's medical procedure and Memorial Day my father in law passed away. Needless to say these past few weeks have really sucked!
  7. I used an gallon glass pickle jar that sits on the floor next to my roll top tying desk that I place my trash in. Kelly Galloup has a video out there and he says that an easy what to keep a tying desk clean and organized is to put things back in their proper place once they are finished being used. LOL...That is something unfortunately I do not do!!!! When I can't find stuff because everything is piled on top of everything else then that is when i stop and clean my desk which usually takes an hour or so. Below is Kelly's video that has some suggestions on storage ideas as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzvZw_DnsZw
  8. Mine will be going in the mail tomorrow morning. I tied just a regular Caddis but I found some unusual material at Hobby Lobby that was 60 cents a roll in the clearance section in an Avocado Green color called Jute. From what I read up in it is a fiberous plant that is used make twine but to me it looks like burlap. Yes I now it a natural material and it will probably rot over a period of time getting wet but it makes a cool looking body I think. They should be up the in your neck of the wood by next Monday I would say. Thanks for hosting this swap!!!
  9. mikechell is right...Nothing is cheaper and fast to tie than flip flops poppers!!!
