  1. I am getting tired of some of the small exotics be have down here chewing every proper nymph I throw in no time. So, here is an all synthetic, super quick and easy to tie nymph-ish substitute. chenille, micro legs and brown marker.
  2. Crease fly marabou, chenille, foam and googley eyes
  3. That is pretty awesome, if you ask me...šŸ‘
  4. That Everglades adventure sounds great. What I donā€™t get is being dropped out right in the open ocean just so that you can say that you kayak fish. To me the fun is in both. paddle out to a spot, and fish, on or off the kayak as the situation dictates.
  5. So, here is my question to Nucanoe owners... Did you ever try to pole it, or use a SUP paddle?
  6. Great pics, everyone. Thanks for the replies. Rather than narrowing choices, now I want more than one! The NuCanoes are intriguing to me, specially the claim that they paddle very well for such a wide boat. The pursuit model has a couple of very cool features for fishermen. I tend to favor ā€œtraditionalā€ kayaks like Jā€™s, Mikeā€™s and Tailsā€™. I guess I could be persuaded by a pedal kayak and the idea of free hands for fishing, although I think prices are ridiculous, but a motor is where I draw the line šŸ˜ Bim
  7. Are those bait casters and spinners that I see...? OH, my...!!! šŸ˜‰
  8. I mentioned in another thread that I sold my kayak and I might be thinking about getting another one. Would you mind to share what kayaks you have, why you chose it and what types of waters you use it in? To get started, here is an old pic of my Bimini 15.
  9. Cray cray. There is a rattle and bead chain eyes in there so that it rides point up.
  10. It took me 350+ post to come up with something as good as that. Welcome!
  11. @Bryon, How does the NuCanoe compare to an ā€œOlCanoeā€? I have a ā€œfishingā€ canoe, which compared to a kayak is a bear to paddle, specially when the front catches wind and takes on a mind of its own. Not much I can do about the seating position, unlike yours.
  12. Thanks! It is a very simple tie. Makeup brush feelers, a bit of leftover dubbing brush and some extra dubbing, a black bead, rubber legs and mono eyes
  13. And the rooster is pretty good too...šŸ˜ƒ
  14. Fishing kayaks have changed a lot over the years. The trend now seems to be boats that you pedal rather than paddle, have high seats and allow you to stand. But none of the good ones are cheap or light weight, so, if I am going to need a trailer, there are plenty of used motor boats for less than a new premium kayak. The other thing is than none of them do it all well. You have to be clear on what you want to do with it and go from there. There are some with pretty open cockpits that are good for fly fishing, like Bryonā€™s NuCanoe, but many others present challenges. I just sold my old Bimini15. I might change my name to Viking Profish Reload in the near future... Vee vill zee...
