  1. How about forgeting that you forgot.
  2. I take a SMALL clump and bend it over the thread for about an inch, then wrap the thread around the head of the hook. That way the stuff is attached to the head and flows freely back over the egg. I like the stuff. You only have to use a very very small amount. The stuff goes a long way. Randy
  3. I wanted to take my 6 year old boy out this year. Don't think that is going to happen considering it was 50 out today. :ripped:
  4. I have to agree with stony. Its like when a duck can et frozen to a lake. The feel discomfor but not pain like us. Randy
  5. I got your hooks, thanks. Did my flies make it yet? I sent them like a week before christmas. Randy
  6. If I had a room like that, I would never leave. Except for a beer run. But then if you put a brewing area.......
  7. I think the framing is good. I would crop a little more around the bugs. And I think the plastic under the middle to lend to some nice contrast. But maybe its just me but they seem to be a touch out of focus. Randy
  8. I've been reading this and I thought you ment porcupine quills. :wallbash: :wallbash:
  9. Nice picture. The muddler is better than my first. I always like using the same hair for the wing and the head. Randy
  10. Just finished the pattern for the cover of the crease fly and am cutting out the foam as I type. I should be able to have them in the mail by the end of the week. I think you guys will like what I did. randy
  11. I'm in. I can't look at this swap anymore without signing up. Randy

    I can sew!

I will only adimit this here. My mom taught me to sew when I was about 10. Even my wife doesn't know I know how to sew. I can just imagine the ramifications if she ever found out. I can see her shopping for sewing machines within 10 minutes of her finding out.
  15. This may be a stupid question but where to do you get the ripple foam from? Randy
  16. Any chance of getting the last steps for this?
  17. Yep got mine also. I love the egg pattern that you did stony. Everything looked great. Randy
  18. It is also used to tie some flies. Succure weight to hooks and such. Easier to use than normal epoxy because it won't harden until it is expose to uv light. I first heard about it on this fly http://www.flyanglersonline.com/flytying/f...051605fotw.html Randy
  19. Is it to early to start a contest for the 300,000th post.
  20. I was wondering if anyone has ever used this product. I have read a couple of reviews and they seem to show favorable light. J Stockard doesn't carry it. SO I was wondering if anyone could recomend a source of getting it. Thanks Randy
