madkasel 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2007 Just chiming in to say that this is a really cool idea. A member of our TU ties these up by the bucketload and gives them to kids at TU functions. My boy has one proudly pinned to his hat. I'd always intended to tie up a bunch of simple foam grasshoppery flies on a safety pin to keep in my vest and give to kids I encounter when gillin' at the local ponds.... forgot about that intention. Might have to get on that now that this swap has jogged my memory on it!
stony 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2007 I prefer tying all 9. That other swap was mine and it was a 3 in 1 swap. We tied 12 egg and scud patterns each and the safety pin was just a bonus part of the swap. That's why I only had them tie up one. Since this is still a swap and the theme is the safety pin, then we should tie all 9. It's two different types of swaps with the other one and this one. TerryLee 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2007 I wasn't in Stony's swap, but another one that may have been the Christmas swap in '05. Regardless it doesn't matter to me either way on second thought and it seems most people want to do 9, so I say let's do it. I change my vote to 9.
