Fly_guy_stu 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2007 Hi guys, I thought the time had come for me to finally introduce my self properly and to show of some of my work, so here it goes... I'm Stuart, I'm 17 and I’ve been trying on and off since I was 12 (or there about). I live in the highlands of Scotland where I mainly fish for trout and salmon. I started trying flies before I could even cast them, which I guess is a little strange. I go through phases of tying for a few weeks and then not touching anything for months. Enough talk about me... here's my latest nymph. It started of as mayfly nymph but I'm not so sure that it imitates it very accurately. Comments etc are very welcome, cheers :yahoo: Stu [larger image added as an attatchment to save poor peoples bandwidth]

letumgo 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 Your fly will surely be a hit with the fish! It combines a number of my favorite features in nymphs (light belly, dark back, yellow body and peacock herl rib like a Tellico, curved hook, and lastly those nice soft hackle legs and tail). Looks like a winner! :clapping:
