flytiehunt 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 i have neverbeen able to tie those.... Yeah, me either. I always use too much material, I think :dunno: ...... I did to when I first starting tying these. The key is to go light on the material.
flytiehunt 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 Nice one flytiehunt!! How do you get the fiber to stay put without using epoxy? I've never tried to use epoxy on this pattern. Where do you add epoxy on this fly?

flytiehunt 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 Here's a few more pictures of baitfish I tie with the "magic head" that Mark Petitjean invented. I love playing around with these and they work like a charm. If you haven't tied with these I would give them a shot if you like fishing for warmwater species or in the salt. day5 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 Do you cut a notch in your heads? I have never tried them I will. But I notice some guys cut a notch in them or cut a v out of the upper or lower edge.

Guest Report post Posted December 18, 2007 That's a great tie. I haven't tried the EP Fibers yet but you make it very tempting! I was at the shop Saturday and came -this- close to buying some.
