SWAP This swap is for 12 flies you feel would catch trout in the Spring. Your choice. There's more...... CONTEST I have decided to put a little twist to the swap. I am going to offer 12 - Size 6 Royd Black Salmon Fly Hooks to the tier who's fly is chosen as a spring fly to try. You are to tag one fly that will be your entry for the contest. When I have received all the flies I will ask an innocent and unsuspecting neighbour of mine to choose which fly he would prefer if given the chance to pick one for the spring trout. April 30 2009 is the deadline. Since this is a Canadian address your flies should be in the post by April 15th to insure delivery being on time. Postage equals about $2 US You are to tie 12 flies. You are to tag one fly as ENTRY + your name, the rest are tagged as usual with your name. Rest of swap rules are the same. CANADIAN POSTAL RATES - http://www.canadapost.ca/Personal/RatesPri...sDocuments.aspx Amounts of flies can change according to amount of I'm ins. Enter with I'm in and the fly you are tying. Horseshoes 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2009 Welcome to the swap professori :headbang: Yes he is, and I never know what he is favoring in a fly from one day to the next. That is why he will make a great unsuspecting judge. No one will be able to guess.

Horseshoes 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2009 Walked up along the river to buy supplies and the ice is gone. 3 weeks is a long time to wait in order to be able to fish on the other side of the stream. We need lots for our fly box. Let's fill up the swap. I for one am getting itchy to cast this spring. :yahoo:
jimmyboy 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2009 any idea how much it will cost to mail the flies from alberta to N.S. ? Last fly swap i think i did some thing wrong, but it was ridiculously expensive to mail.
Horseshoes 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2009 jimmyboy If you get a 5x7 (approx.) manilla envelope it will hold up to 100 grams and the height should be no more thn 20 mm (3/4 inch). It has gone up recently. I think it is about $2.25 for 100g -200g . They charge tax on the rate. You can go tohttp://www.canadapost.ca/Personal/RatesPri...sDocuments.aspx for rates. They also have a page that will tell you the dimensions etc. Check it out and them put it on your favorites or bookmarks. It is really handy to have available. Either way you are looking at less than $5 for both ways. :dunno: I hope this helps.
