BigDaddyHub 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2009 have been working on a fishable realistic for the last couple of weeks. I finally achieved an acceptable body, but I'm still having fits with creating legs out of natural materials...it's still a work in progress while I work out and hone my skill with the legs....don't be too harsh, all the hours tolling over it has made me a bit sensitive,( ) but feel free to add a little advice! dafunk5446 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2009 Looks good to me Hub, realistic stones are not the easiest things to create. But, you are well on your way.
BigDaddyHub 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2009 copped out and used Sili-legs on this on....thinking of using cemented pheasant tails for the legs...I like the antenna for this particular pattern, but have incoporated the tail fibers as antennae in another one with very good results, but it's very stiff...doesn't seem very "fishable"

BigDaddyHub 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2009 I don't know about that, FLoyd...I have always stated that my talent is mediocre at best...trying to get a satisfying "fishable" realistic has been humbling at the very least and nightmarishly frustrating at its worst....Have taken a break from it for a few days....gonna try another stonefly this weekend and work on the technique...have doen a dozen or so that I have shared with some co-workers and they were impressed,BUT I'm thier boss...they HAD to be impressed (or at least act like they were). LOL!
