DevinKaradeema 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 i like the fuzz man.. I've never caught a smallie in a river before but that would be sweet in some of the reservoirs we have in UT
TerryLee 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 I don't get to fish for smallies as much as I'd like to but I do know a few largemouth bass that would eat that :headbang: . I wouldn't trim too much more though. Remember, you can always take more off later if you need to, but it's really hard to put more on at this stage. BigDaddyHub 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 Yep. Tied in a 4 or 6, sunfish patterns routinely turn nice smallies in my creeks and streams. Even tied in smaller sizes to imitate hatchlings just big enough to venture from bank structure. Lunker smallie will hit that, no doubt. I like to add a smidge of yellow or orange to the breast of the pattern to give it that "sunny" look. Size and profile of this particular fly looks just right Nice tie, Coin!
