Allan Overgaard 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2011 After a Spectacular dive today, in a Danish Fjord called Isefjorden, i wanted to tie a couple of Sandgobys. Because there was lots and lots of them, in depths ranging from 0,5 meters down to 10 meters. They were everywhere. I used a Partidge JS Seastreamer size 6. Opossum skin for wing. Futurefly Dubbing in Autum green Futurefly Dumbell eyes 4mm. color : Y. Moon. The head of the fly is made from opossum in a dubbing loop. Ive cut the head material underneath in order to make the fly a bit more Goby like, with large pectoral fins and a quite large head compared to rest of the body. I hope you like them. Feedback, Good or bad is much appreciated. /Regards Allan
s fontinalis 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2011 Great looking flies.... A step by step would be great if you could do one. I think these will work a treat for steelhead.
Capt Bob LeMay 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2011 That bug will work in the backcountry of the Everglades as well... particularly in winter when small (almost tiny)forage is on the menu for large fish that have moved from the salt all the way back up into freshwater...
