Favorite music while tying?

Recommended Posts

For instramental music I like Joe Satriani, the if I want to crank it up Ozzy, Metalica, Pearl Jam, Rage against the Machine, and for slowing down Pink Floyd, stones, etc... Most of the time I like it quiet when I'm tying, it's my time to daydream. I guess I'm a butt rocker?

Oh hell yeah buddy JD! biggrin.gif

My 2 favorite songs to hear are" Rocky mountian high" and the "hawk&the eagle"

John denver was a HUGE flyfisherman also, he was on tons of TV shows fly fishing and when ever they would talk to him about flyfishing you could tell how deep a passion for it he had. Whenever i go upnorth i have to have my John Denver greatest hits with me wink.gif

Sorry SD!!

I didn't mean to stomp on your sensitive side. I never knew he was a fly fisherman.

Now if Michael Bolton had been in that list, I would have to step on that sensitive side.

I like to have it quiet around me (not only when I am tying by the way). That way I can enjoy the "sounds of tying", which, I just realized, would be great title for a christmas cd:

Threads breaking, hackle ripping, head cement bottles falling over, hooks penetrating my finger tips and the sounds folling that, the sweet *ping* the hook releases when you flick it with your fingernail once its fixed in the vise and last but not least, myself muttering, swearing and calling the tying material names...

so wonderful to have it quiet while tying.
