January 2012: Flies from the Vise

Recommended Posts

Its been awhile since I tied any deer hair so I thought I'de warm up with a couple simple ones, Gotta love the Clown Fish Flies, fun to tie.The fly on the right is Deer hair, the left is Cow Elk. The Cow Elk is great stuff to work with and the length is greater than my Deer hair: For your viewing pleasure

Bruce

"Simple ones" the man says  a true artist in the deer hair!

You call that a simple deer hair!?!?!?! If I ever tyer any deer hair flies like that I would never call them simple. But I guess it would be simple compared to some of those otter flies you make like the multiple hook frog.

I dreamt of catching big brownies

yellow royal wulff.

I like em skinny.

Hubba hubba! That's a beut right there. When it comes to wulff's, I tend to be a chubby chaser... but this one has me coming to the stick figure sizes for sure. Gorgeous!

These are for my first swap (Bluegill swap club). Fresh from the vise. I came up with this color a few months back and caught some nice bream, guess bream will eat anything LOL. I call it the MS-1 popper. Hope they'll be O.K.
