FishDragon 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2012 This is my station I am working on. Almost finished. The base is spruce plywood and the upright pieces at the corners is yellow birch. The rest of the station is red cedar. I used scraps that we had around the shop. It is held together with round head brass screws and round head brass tacks. There is four coats of Epifanes spar varnish. Sanded by hand after each coat. After my pedestal base arrives and I add the dowels for holding my spools I will upload more pics. Piker20 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2012 Looks good. Are you using rods for holding spools of flosses and wire etc. Does anyone know the diameter for brass or wooden rods to take uni spools etc.
FishDragon 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2012 I am using 1/4 inch dowels. They will hold UNI spools.
