Non-Skid Pedistal Base Thingy

Saw this on TV, then bought one at a truck stop ($4-5). It's to put on your car dash to keep your cell phone or whatever from sliding around.

Works REALLY WELL to keep your pedistal vise from walking around the desk. It is NOT sticky; you just lay it down and set the base on top. It's about 4" x 6". Now I need to get another one for the car.

I am desinging a pedestal base thingy as well. I got those small little rubber bumpers at walmart for like 2.00 they work well and stay with your vice. One less thing to carry on a trip and lose. Well thats why I did it that way. Give them a try if you ever lose your mat.

What you need for the car is one of those little tables that clamp onto the steering wheel, There usually isn't enough flat surface in a car to set up a pedestal base! And to repeat the warning on the last one I saw "DO NOT USE WHILE DRIVING".

A C clamp will hold tight to the steering wheel

I meant I'll have to get another one for the car to hold my cell phone. I'm using one under the vise on the desk.

I know chase I was just speaking from experience for the clamp on the steering wheel as it was a rainy day at camp so I tied up the next days flies in the truck
