Flyunder 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2013 Sweet, love the color change in the body. And the fact you used a stripped cdc feather quill.
netabrookie 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2013 Terje, That's a trout catcher for sure. That is the first time that I have seen a body made of a stripped cdc feather. I saw a bumper sticker a while back that said "fish tremble when they hear my name." I'll bet that if anyone mentions the name Terje, the trout in Norway start to shake and tremble and look at each other with fear in their eyes. The older and wiser trout tell their little ones about the legend of "Terje"... Take Care Terje, Tony

Take Care Terje, Tony Thanks a lot, Tony :-) I was playing around with cdc when i thought i might give the cdc quill a go :-) ..... it has to be from a jumbo feather (a large feather) and it has to have the right thickness. I also had to use a thin layer of superglue to make it strong enough. I really hope the trout will find it interesting but i´m not so sure that i will become a legend among trouts, hopefully more like a pain in the ass :-) :-) :-) Terje
shoebop 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2013 Nice fly Terje. I've never thought to use a CDC quill. They are too valuable to me to just strip off the most valuable part.

Thanks a lot, Shoebop :-) :-) I only use the ones i have stripped for fibres to use in wings on no hackle flies and for dubbing production :-) :-) Terje

You're not a "legend" ... your the bogey angler the adults scare their little fry with. "You better pay attention in school today ... or Terje, the Bogey Angler will easily get you !!!"
