FlyFishin'Jam 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2014 Nice work, love a good hackle tip wing they always swim true and fish rather well, you can pinch the wing close to the head and push towards the eye for more curvature or some people run the back of their scissors under the wing to get that curve too. I should have stripped a bit more from the underside of the wings, or do as you said and pull them forward underneath the first few thread wraps on the head. I tend to tie the hackle wings the same way Shewey does, but I didn't pull them quite hard enough to set them properly. Nevertheless, I hope it'll fish. :-) Again, thanks for the kind comments!
