The epoxy "drying" sessions were unnecessary, since epoxy doesn't dry, it cures. The whole epoxy job could've been done at one time, using the colored epoxy from the start. Now if that lad has a table saw, he could set the kerf depth just so & rip a hook slot smack dead centre along the entire length of his popper bodies, all in one pass.
