December Flies from the Vise

Recommended Posts

eide and rexw, will you allow me to use pictures as background on my PC and iPad? Just want some new goals and inspirations and aspirations, in case I someday grow up at tying. WoW..

flytire, thanks for recipe, any recommended hook size? I know I can adapt to natural's profile. It looks like a 16-18.....?

December is indeed gonna be a great month... Thanks to all.

Flat Rock, you are welcome to use it. But, I'm still a beginner at this style of tying. Edie's (and some others on this site) flies and skills amaze me too! :)

Thanks David. They are secured only with the uv-resin. It's a little easier to position them right that way. Tried tying them in, but they looked kind of funny. Will have to see how they hold, when a fish takes it

More cool Italian stuff. Tied here as an October; change color/size to suit your needs. Here's the vid:

hook - Dai Riki 135 #8

thread - UTC 140 burnt orange

rib - holo tinsel copper

abdomen - dubbing rusty orange

wing - deer hair dyed rusty orange

thorax/head - dubbing rusty orange

collar - deer hair dark brown (in a dubbing loop)

Regards,

Scott
