Peartree 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2017 Spent a beautiful day on the James River with my son. Fishing was slow, but just sharing one of my favorite childhood places with my son was well worth the effort.

Powershooter 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2017 Great landing . One of my favorites for night time flathead catfish . I plan on floating through there before summer ends .

mikechell 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2017 Okay Bo! I should be there during the month of January !!! Â I know, fishing's different that time of year.
Powershooter 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2017 January , you need to be here now . Only thing we can try in January is some trout . No plans to be near the state in warm weather ?
mikechell 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2017 No ... company dropped the ball a little, and our government courses haven't been running. So, I am not doing any traveling this Summer. Â Regular dealer classes during the Fall and Winter will be my next trips.
Powershooter 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2017 Ok . Well if you get near the VA coast or the outer Banks of nc let me know . I'm always up for a day trip of fishing .
Peartree 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2017 Would love to catch one of those big cats on a flyrod. 5lb large mouth is about the biggest thing I've done with a fly rod. Fished all my life, but only been fly fishing for about the last 5 years. It is by far my favorite way to fish.
Powershooter 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2017 Same with me . I'm slowly transitioning to mostly fly fishing . There are some things I just can't do on it though .
