Guest Report post Posted October 15, 2020 MickeH, Great to hear from a guy from Sweden!!!! Another couple cased and uncased larva. Nobody noticed but the red larva, beads, are incorrect for caddis those sposed to be chironomids/midge larva. Free crawling caddis larva are off white, greenish yellow I think would be closer. Cased...rocks, sticks The first fly I ever tied was a simple caddis larva, ‘63. White chenille body lil black chenille head with black hackle fibers. The German streams north of Wiesbaden and in Bavaria , Bertchsgaden, Garmish were full of them. They had stick cases but the trout didn’t mind. They knew that was what was inside them... Never realized or saw the adults. Plum outa white chenille presently.
