Yep, it's from Alaska waters. We have 36 different species of rock fish in Alaska waters and many of them are very beautiful. You can see some of them, if you like at my blog. Here,

I also, got video of the tiger rockfish biting my fly. Here

 

The first fish biting the fly is a ling cod. Then you see some black rockfish, quilback rockfish, coppers and China Rockfish.
