  6. I think that would work on some n coast steelies as well. classic colors.
  7. If you get a chance, pick up Bob Veverka's Spey flies, the information is very helpful and valuable.

  11. Excellent use of those feathers.. Nice GP Jens.
  12. You want bronze mallard instead of mallard flank for spey wings, and then the two strips should meet in the center and tent over the body. Mallard flank is two soft to tent properly.
  13. I can't tell you much about Atlantic salmon flies but I know there are patterns that work on numerous species. My first thought is the silver doctor which was tied as a wet fly all the way to a 5/0 salmon fly. A number of speys can be tied small for trout and other species and can be fished in all types of water.
  14. Tied this over t-day, and hope to fish it soon (fingers crossed)
  15. Nice design and well executed. How is this horse hair ... stiff or flexible? body hair or mane/tail?
  16. The silver doctor is an exceptional pattern, and you have some exceptional tying skills.
  17. Neat hooks and the palmering on the body is perfect.
  18. A "full" floodtide. The JC on the shoulder is really excellent. nice work again
  19. the long spey type hackle is beautiful as is the orange throat :headbang: :headbang:
