Jim, I love those flies very creative.I don't think you'll lose the eyes if you wet them but personly I'd just display them. My boss's peacock is nervous,very nervous.

Welcome to this friendly forum. Personnly I would save the whole skin. The bronze barred feathers where the wings join the body are very good for spey and Irish wets,the cdc feathers round the preen gland make good wings and loads of uses for the flank/breast feathers. Ashley

Well aboard! I'll change things if I'm short of materials or not got.Sometimes I'll change something if I think it will make an improvement. Many materials can be subtituted with others because they are near enough the same.(Just take a look in the fly shop how much looks the same or nearly.)

A couple of times I've bought on the road but I always have my travel kit with me.An orvis tying bag with what I think I need for that trip.Its been used at a camp site table in Cape cod,a bar in a hotel(to lazy to take drink to my room),outside my cabin in Solvina,bla,bla,bla Its saved to many trips Never leave it be hind Ashley

I get most of my hooks from linesend.com ,they never seem to be out of stock.I also get hooks from the fishguy and bearsden. I use these people because I've alot of trouble getting the hooks I want over here and they're cheaper.

Jeff, I can highly recommend the regal.I've been using one for 8 years, good hook holding power and I've had no problems.

I got Brahmas coming along with flatwing saddles cannt wait. If anyone interested there a few packs left over from the swap(just checked). Ashley

Nice looking flies. I got a second hand coffee blender a few years ago and blend several of my own dubbings and just putting fur straight of the skin in it for a few seconds seems to make nicer to work with. Ashley

I've got my stuff in airtight boxes,little drawers meant for d.iy.ers and big boxes with bits in zip lock bags but as hard as I try my tying area is still disorganised and a mess.
