  1. I went to the Fly Fishing Rendevous here in Denver on Saturday. I stopped by Phil Iwane's tying area and was extremely fortunate in that he spent about 30-45 minutes with me showing me how he ties his Iwan E-dun parachute. Also got some interesting leader tips. Suffice it to say mine are not even close to his. On the other hand I tested them the next day on the South Platte near Deckers and they were fish catching candy. Size 20

  6. Couple of size 22 baetis nymphs. The one with the black wire ,a sniper baetis variation, got me to thinking a gray goose biot would look pretty good too. Anyhow....

  11. Holy sh!t, those are nice. I have to thank you for taking up intheRiffle for your tarcher style nymph too
  12. I picked up a small pair of Kobalt needle nose pliers at Lowe's for 6 bucks. When I got home I took the dremel to 'em. Made the needle nose even more "needly" and made sure the jaws were flat so they mated to each other with no gaps. The tips will get into the gape of a 28. They work great.
  13. April is kicked off with some great stuff. A few parachute blue wings and a klink style to match my local hatch. And to replace a few from yesterday's outing on the South Platte.
  14. Amazing ties going on. Excellent month. I've been playing/ working on different dry fly wings and splitting a triple fiber tail. The work continues.
