Joe Hard 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 You guys are not going to belive this. My regular ride to go worming has gone to a shark derby. So I got a ride with another digger, a group of us went on the boat to a spot that is hellish to walk. 45 minutes through sloppy mud there and back. Well we got there and jumped off the boat. I went to a spot that no one has been yet this year. I looked along the waters edge and could see something sticking out. I thought that someone had put a mooring there. I started digging and thought about it. There has never been any type of mooring there and looked again. It was a digging fork and it was better than mine. I thought good luck comming my way? I found a spot to dig that had all kinds of worms Right on. We went to the boat the next tide, and buddy said look the boat is right there we dont have to walk that far. I said yea but look no motor. I said let me out and open the trunk so I can get my boots on. Some prick had stole our motor, gas jug, life vests ect and untied the boat and let it a drift. When it rains it pours. I know the sun is going to shine someday. I have not had a drink for a while and all this bad luck started. Is this againts the gods? I'm Irish desecent, but I know that drinking in the wrong frame of mind will only lead to destruction and devastation.
Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 Man thats just plain sucks. Sometime it goes like that though, you'll have weeks of bad things happening and then the next thing ya know it turns around and the sun shines on ya again. Hang in there man, it will get better. Sounds like a fishing trip is well needed

Joe Hard 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2005 Here is a few pics that I have of the worms and where I dig. There is a fly in the pics that is 4 inches long. It is beside the worms. I am going to take the camera with me today. We are going to a spot called Starrs point, you can see this point in the picture in the distancein the picture of high tide. The tide goes out the futherest in the world. This is where we were taking the boat. It is a long walk. I found a skelleton of a sturgeon there yesterday. It is about 6 feet long. Sturgeon and striped bass jump all tide long on certian days. It is nerver racking to hear them. Let alone seeing fish that are from 3 to 8 feet long jumping 4 feet in the air. It sounds like someone throwing a cement block into a pool http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/galle...04854f3b0a8.jpg http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/galle...0485a3aa1a0.jpg http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/galle...0485b637585.jpg http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/galle...0485da4d50b.jpg if you look close you can see some guys out there, it’s a ways. http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/galle...0485f05bf7c.jpg http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/galle...0486281c7dc.jpg http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/galle...048651b1e1f.jpg http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/galle...048670d7e1b.jpg http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/galle...04869b1a6a8.jpg Thanks for the link on the worms, there are a few out there describing them.
