First Top Water popper

Recommended Posts

:yahoo: This is my first attempt at a frog popper. I used a cork on a 1/0 bait hook, green spray paint, 15 lbs test for the weed guard. The legs are green with black neck hackles. I bet this will catch something more than bait. I will let y'all know in the next few weeks. :yahoo:

Not bad man, that will fish. One suggestion. Try coating the cork with epoxy after painting, it will help make it more durable and will float better and longer.

Be sure to give us a report! :headbang:

Glad to hear that your first popper was such a success! :headbang:

Must have felt great to catch those bass on your own fly!

Thanks for the pics.
