deeky 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2009 Thanks for the comments. It is an actual coffee bean. I actually got the pattern from a British magazine that I get. According to the article, the author particularly liked it when fishing with the kids because it floats and they like to watch, as well as teh fact that their casting doesn't have to be great since beetles usually land with a splat anyway. Chase Creek 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2009 Great looking tie. I've used coffee beans before for the same type of fly, don't know where I saw it first, but think it's been around for a while.
